Day 266 September 30 newspaper feathers
These beautiful feathers are made from the painted newspaper. I still had some from the flowers I made earlier in the year. These are very simple but they can add a lot of fun to an arrangement.

Day 265 September 29 cord keeper
You know how you've got a cord for everything - camera, phone, i-pod to name a few? I took some magnet sheets and covered them with paper and them glued on a piece of tubing that I sliced down the middle. The cord will fit into the tubing and you can hang it on your file cabinet or door or metal legs of your table. Be sure and use a strong magnet if you have long cords.

Day 264 September 28 drink can flower
I think you can make flowers out of just about anything. This is made from energy drink cans. It could be painted or the printed side could be used. These will make great gift toppers or put on stems to make a pretty bouquet.

Day 262 September 26 butterfly wing pendant
I found a beautiful monarch butterfly beside the road that had been hit by a car but was all there. I used the top half of some button covers and painted the inside. Then I cut the wings to fit and clear coated it. I was going to use resin to fill it in but mine was dried up. I glued some jump rings to hang from a cord and I have two gorgeous necklaces.

Day 261 September 25 dry erase board
Today is my daughter Dana's birthday! This is a really easy project. I just took an old picture frame and put some decorative paper in it instead of a picture. The glass will work as a dry erase board. Isn't it fabulous?

Day 260 September 24 thimble charm
I still have more thimbles. This one I drilled two holes in for the cord and added beads and little flowers. You could put a little moss or some artificial flowers in it too. I like these kind of necklaces to just hang in the window or on a hook on the wall. You don't have to wear them to appreciate them.

Day 259 September 23 bike tire feathers
Because I ride my bike a lot I get flat tires. I made these feathers out of one of my flat tubes. These are strung on a cord to make a rockin' necklace for my basket.

Day 258 September 22 thimble necklace
I don't use thimbles when I sew but I have some old and new ones. This was a plain one that I drilled a hole in the top. Then I cut some scrap yarn and made a tassel with the thimble and added some beads. Now I have a pretty necklace. Nice.

Day 257 September 21 fruity garland
This will only get better as it dries out more. I thin sliced apples and oranges and dried them on a screen. Then I strung them into a garland. It smells good and looks nice too.

Day 256 September 20 t-shirt shrug
I had a little fun with photo editing on this one. Dana is wearing a shrug made out of a t-shirt. It is probably a little big for her but you get the idea. Very easy and a very cute transformation for a not so cute t-shirt.

Day 255 September 19 beach glass chandelier
This is made from a lot of beach glass, an old lamp shade frame, and some wire and beads. It looks pretty cool when it is on. I just hung it from the ceiling light that is there.

Day 254 September 18 coke case shelf
I've had this old coke case in the garage forever. It makes a great wall shelf in my studio with just a few screws.

Day 253 September 17 scrappy pumpkins
I love pumpkins and I have lots of material scraps. These are made from an orange denim and some sticks and wire and some stuffing. I always have stuffing because my dogs are always tearing up pillows. Cute.

Day 252 September 16 tulle light
Under all this tulle is an old ceiling light cover. I glued silver and white tulle all over it and then lit it up underneath. It looks pretty spectacular and several of them would make great party decor.
