The end

This blog is named 365 do-overs and that is what it is.  I will continue to craft but I will take a break from blogging.  I still welcome comments on my posts. As the two part tiger - the halves come together using magnets - says,  Thank You.

Day 365 January 8 THANK YOU

This is it. The final day of my adventure.  I have had so much fun, and learned so much and been given some really cool opportunities - all because of this blog.  There were times I struggled with getting something done but for the most part I learned to manage my craft time and was always ready.  I met some great people and have been supported in this venture by some great people.  Thank you all so much.  My last project is a self portrait and I used a lot of junk.  There is t-shirts, buttons, scrap material, maps, magazines, brown paper bags to name a few.  Thank you for looking!!

Day 364 January 6 pebble tray

I used a picture of my mom on the bottom and surrounded the edge of the tray with pebbles.  I added a piece of copper stamped with "grandma Janet".   Then I filled the bottom with a layer of resin and let dry.  It is a beautiful tray.

Day 363 January 5 broken dish jewelry

The one on the left is a piece of plate given to me for this purpose and the one on the right is a piece of bowl that my son brought back from Turkey that didn't survive the trip.  I glue the pieces onto  thick felted sweaters for the base and then bead around it.  They will become broaches or pendants.

Day 362 January 4 tote redo

This was just a plain white tote bag. Boring.  Now it is a fabulous tote bag.  I added layers of ruffles using scrap fabric and a few scrap flowers to add a little interest.  I love it now.

Day 361 January 3 tack balls

These are only for decoration.  They would look great with some other decorative balls in a glass vase.  The gold and silver are the color of the tacks that I pushed into Styrofoam balls.  The green one is spray painted. I don't think they would hang very well because the tacks may come out.

Day 360 January 2 gift wrap garland

My niece painted this picture for me for Christmas.  Isn't it incredibly cool?  I loved the wrapping paper too so I made a bunch of origami balls and strung them into a garland.  I love it.

Day 359 January 1 kusadama calender ball

One last look at the old year as we go into the new.  I made this ornament ball with the same calender as yesterdays Finnish star.  I folded the kusadama flowers and  formed them into a ball.  I think it will hang year round  after I take down the Christmas tree.
