The final day of my adventure. I have had so much fun, and learned so much and been given some really cool opportunities - all because of this blog. There were times I struggled with getting something done but for the most part I learned to manage my craft time and was always ready. I met some great people and have been supported in this venture by some great people. Thank you all so much. My last project is a self portrait and I used a lot of junk. There is t-shirts, buttons, scrap material, maps, magazines, brown paper bags to name a few. Thank you for looking!!Jeannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00987607592363355140noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363569997863457985.post-21076823768806839782012-01-06T06:28:00.000-08:002012-01-06T06:28:28.867-08:00Day 364 January 6 pebble tray

I used a picture of my mom on the bottom and surrounded the edge of the tray with pebbles. Pretty cool. I can see doing this for kids birthday cards or just as a game for a baby shower or whatever. I took some rope and separated it into separate strings and then glued and twisted it into some wire. Then I trimmed it to look more like a tree. I think I could probably trim them better and maybe add some snow like the original bottle brush trees. Anyway, I feel I was successful but it could be a lot better and I hope you get the idea of what I was trying to make.Jeannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00987607592363355140noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363569997863457985.post-46400615211800498362011-12-23T08:21:00.000-08:002011-12-23T08:21:06.861-08:00Day 350 December 23 placemat baskets

I bought these place mats on clearance last year. I covered a piece of cardboard with music paper before I folded and added some salt glitter for dazzle.Jeannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00987607592363355140noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363569997863457985.post-27354029548169404402011-12-19T06:02:00.000-08:002011-12-19T06:02:26.235-08:00Day 346 December 19 salt glitter

This isn't really sparkly like glitter but it stills look cool. It is just salt with a drop of food coloring cooked at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. It can be used like you would use glitter and you can make your own colors.Jeannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00987607592363355140noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363569997863457985.post-62427212390920731022011-12-18T05:13:00.000-08:002011-12-18T05:13:43.405-08:00Day 345 December 18 scull snowflake

Every snowflake is definitely different. I cut this one out of music paper and added a few interesting details. Then I glittered it a little on the edges for a little more dazzle. It will look very cool in the window.Jeannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00987607592363355140noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363569997863457985.post-34118798739286720042011-12-17T06:55:00.000-08:002011-12-17T06:55:06.245-08:00Day 344 December17 coffee filter wreath

Can you believe this beautiful wreath is made from only coffee filters and cardboard from a box? It is stunning. I only added a ribbon bow but you could add some little ornaments to it or other pretties.Jeannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00987607592363355140noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8363569997863457985.post-69587764595016410252011-12-16T07:52:00.000-08:002011-12-16T07:52:34.667-08:00Day 343 December 16 draft dodger

I live in northern Michigan so it is cold. I made this draft dodger out of scraps of fleece and filled it with plastic bags. It works great and it didn't cost a thing but I am sure it saves a bit on energy. Then I hung several of them on a circle that I got in the floral department and covered with paper and paint. Very cool.Jeannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00987607592363355140noreply@blogger.com0
